Access to Work

What is Access to Work?

Access to Work is a UK government scheme that can help people with a disability or health condition get funding to help them stay in work. I provide virtual assistant support for clients with access to work funding. You can find out more about the scheme, eligibility and funding via the following page:

Access to Work: Get Support if You Have a Disability or Health Condition

How is Access to Work related to virtual assistant support?

I already support a few clients who are receiving Access to Work funding. All of these clients have health conditions such as ADHD or Autism. Access to Work provides funding for people with ADHD, Autism and other health conditions that require virtual assistant support, admin support and business support. It doesn’t matter whether you’re in an employed job, are self employed or have a limited company.

How can you help someone with ADHD or Autism?

I would provide you with all my usual virtual assistant services, just with some extra consideration depending on your needs.

For example, people with ADHD usually find my approach to work is perfect for their needs. (You can read more about my approach to virtual assistant support here – About Page).  My experience has grown over time working with clients that receive Access to Work funding, therefore there are a few areas where my virtual assistant support can be a bit more tailored to someone with ADHD or Autism.

Managing distractions

Meeting deadlines

Helping manage your time more effectively

Helping you feel less overwhelmed and more in control of your business

Progressing your projects

Helping you decide which tasks can be delegated to me

My Diary

Please note that there are times when my diary is full regarding personal assistant work and I may not be able to take on new clients. (I never like to take on so many clients that I cannot effectively assist them). In these cases, I may have an experienced virtual assistant at my sister site JH Virtual Assistant that can support you. Several of my colleagues there are supporting clients with ADHD and other health conditions and these clients are receiving Access to Work funding. At JH Virtual Assistant, I only hire virtual assistants that take a similar approach to work as I do, so you’ll receive the same conscious, reliable support that I offer (with the additional reassurance that they’re competent in working with clients with different health conditions).

Whether you have already approached Access to Work for funding or want to find out more, feel free to book a call with me.

On our call we can talk about:

Your business

I want to find out more about your business or work, how it’s set up, how you handle clients, what software you use and what you feel you need help with. This helps me decide if I can add value and help you, as I never want to take on clients where I can’t provide value.

The process of starting with Access to Work

We can discuss funding, quotes and managing claims for funding. I have special pricing for Access to Work clients that’s lower than my usual pricing and fits within what Access to Work accepts. I can provide you with a formal quote for personal assistant support as part of the Access to Work application process.

Timing

Timelines and usual timeframes for receiving Access to Work funding and claims.

How we would start once approved for funding

It's pretty quick and easy to start working together once you have been approved for Access to Work funding. I would let you know the steps and you'll be glad to know that there's very few.

Your health condition

We can discuss the specifics of your health condition, how we would work together and how my virtual personal assistant support can help.

Virtual Assistant Support for Clients with Access to Work Funding

I’m really happy to be able to provide personal assistant support to clients alongside the Access to Work scheme. I’d love to chat with you. Even if you decide you don’t wish to proceed with my services, I hope I can provide some insight and give you more clarity in what you need from a virtual assistant.
